Day 2-3. Transfer to Neuschweinstein to visit Ludwig II’s most recognized architectural sight in this part of Germany and the inspiration for the “Disney” castle. We hike in charming woods and stop at one of Bavaria’s best-known baroque churches and the UNESCO heritage site Wieskirche. We spend the night at beautiful lake Chimsee, where we will hike around the lake and take a boat to Herreninsel, another palace of Ludwig II of Bavaria.

Day 4. We climb to The Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden Land to enjoy the magnificent view from the top. Afterwards, we descend to cross the border into Austria, to the birthplace of W. A. Mozart, the UNESCO city Salzburg.

Day 5. We travel to St Wolfgang, a charming town situated on the steep banks of the Wolfgangsee, where we will take a train up to the summit for a nice hike.

Day 6. We continue our adventure by taking a cable car to the world’s largest accessible ice caves and glittering ice empire. In the afternoon we hike in one of the deepest and longest ravines in the Alps, in Lichtensteinklamm.

Day 7. We spent the next day in Hallstatt, take a boat trip on its beautiful lake, then hike above the roofs of Hallstatt with wonderful views of the unique mountain world of the UNESCO World Heritage site Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut.

Day 8-9. The Hallstatt funicular takes us to the Salzberg (Salt Mountain) to visit the oldest salt mine in the world. On the last day we transfer to Linz, have a guided city tour and celebrate the end of our tour with a farewell dinner.

 Day 10. Departure

Day 10. If you decide to prolong your adventure, on this day we depart north to the Czech Republic. The border is not far from Linz and right behind it, in the south of Bohemia, we stop at a small town Vyšší Brod to visit one of the most important historical landmarks in the Czech Republic, a Cistercian monastery from 1259, located on the Vltava (Moldau) River. In the afternoon we hike to Rožmberk town and then transfer to a nearby city Český Krumlov for two nights.

Day 11. A day in Český Krumlov. This day we spend in this amazing and picturesque little city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a baroque pearl on the Vltava River. Its castle district is as big as the Prague Castle and the unique Baroque Theatre is the best preserved of only three theatres of this kind in the world. A guided tour in the morning and afternoon on your own to relish the atmosphere in the cozy streets and hidden cafés.

Day 12. A morning transfer to Prague and an afternoon orientation guided tour in the capital of the Czech Republic, a city of hundreds spires. This UNESCO city, situated in the very heart of Europe offers hundreds of historical sights, unique architecture, a mixture of music, art, dance and theatre, as well as many breathtaking views over the skyline of Prague, the Prague Castle and the Vltava River with the most significant Charles Bridge. There can’t be a better place for a farewell…
